Saturday, September 24, 2016…Longest Day of the Trip
The view walking out backdoor on our way to the train station in Golling.
We hopped on the the 08:30 for Salzburg, Linz and finally Melk our final destination and the most beautiful Benediction Monastery in the world that sits over looking the city and the Danube Rive.
The rail jet train headed toward Melk with only one change. 225 k/hr as smooth as can be. We got home about 1900 in the evening with minds full of memories and pictures of one of the places we have always wanted to see.

Not far from the east west airline corridor across Europe over the Alps I am watching the con trails in the brilliant blue mountain skies.
We left this morning 45 minutes early for mass this morning as it was the “Thanksgiving” mass at the St. Francis of Assisi Church. We were expecting something special but not a large brass band, 50 veterans…rifles/swords and another group of church goer’s dressed in the area’s long past. It was spectacular and they are so proud of their heritage.
We had Weinersnichitchel for lunch at our favorite restaurant on the way home. A Sunday we will not forget.
