Poland/Switzerland 2012-Day 1

We are packed and ready to go.  Jeff and Baby O  will be picking us up and taking us to van that takes us to LAX.  You won’t believe it but both of our suit cases weigh less than 40 pounds(51 pounds max X 2 each) so that means that we are 125 pounds under the max.  We are really getting good at packing.  The new super light weight luggage we purchased really help a great deal as they are 8 pounds less than our old set and are as strong and nearly as large.

I checked in last night over the net with British Air all the way to Warsaw, Poland and it looks like everything is on time.  I am still PO-ed that British Air for charging us $85.00 to chose our own seat verses they picking it.  Enough carping.  Poor airlines need the money!

Poland/Switzerland 2012…Day-7

Packing at least half done.  Libby keeps looking at the weather and her suitcase is getting more and more cool weather clothes.  No snow please.  It was 85 here today.

Packing Day and Checking the Weather

Our packing lists are done and packing time is upon us.  We have done this so many times that  it’s second nature for us.   The 10 day forecast for Switzerland is 60 high-40 low, and rain, rain, rain.  Guess that answers the “Desert Dog’s” question about a rain coat and umbrella.  Just checked the temperature here in Palmdale, 42.

Mary;  should we take any shorts with us on the trip?

Sitting in Medford, OR resturant.

Eating a all-meat pizza with a pitcher of beer.  Health food within walking distance of our hotel.  More later.
