Do you call one night out a vacation? Most people would not but heck we’re retired and we can call it anything we like.
We just completed our 35th year of married life together and we decided that we wanted to go somewhere where we could shop and eat a really great meal. We had only one night as we agreed to watch our grandkids this week for a couple of days.
One of favorite places, other than the beach, is Pasadena, California. It is close, 75 miles through the San Gabriel mountains and they should be beautiful this time the year. The Angeles Crest HI way just re-opened after 18 months as It has been closed as whole sections washed out in the winter rains after the huge forest fire two years ago.
Libby has picked out all of the great shops and I chose “Ruth Chris Steakhouse.” Prime steaks and other great stuff. Lucky my cholesterol is way down. Stay tuned.
